I wanted to throw a BEFORE picture out there, because I know that making this picture public is sure to be pretty powerful motivation.
I am so excited about getting back into the swing of things. It is strangely comforting to be in control of my food intake again. I am missing some of my favorite foods, but overall I feel good about this effort. I don’t know why staying on track is so hard, because I always am much more intent on enjoying each bite when I know I have a limited quantity.
This Mamavation Monday I don’t have a scale update, since my first weight-in is Wednesday. However, I can tell you that I have several non scale victories this week. As I gain control over my eating habits, I become considerably more mindful in all areas of my life. This week things just felt like they were coming together for me. I have felt a little more caught up with the house, with the kids, and I READ A WHOLE REAL SIMPLE…cover to cover…and it was the current issue too.

I completely agree that throwing a picture out there is a huge motivator and can help accountability to yourself. Great non scale victories this week. I just unpacked a box full of issues a few years old that I have yet to read. Good luck at your weigh in on Wednesday.

It’s amazing what seeing yourself through the eyes of a camera can motivate you to do. I think we have all been there. Good luck with your new plan and on your weigh in.

Mindfulness is such a key to living the life we want. I have been slipping in a few areas lately and appreciate your resolve and throwing this picture of yourself up as motivation. Stay with the baby steps for long-term, consistent rewards. This succinct post is very inspiring to me.

I agree having before pics are the best, when your ready to really see the changes do the front back and side view it really helps you see the whole picture and changes. It’s hard cutting out some of the bad for you treats but it’s best to start with little steps. If your dh is up for it I would deffinately apply for campaign 10 it’s a great way to start things off

I love that you touch on how you were more mindful this week – related to food, yes, but in all areas of your life! That is HUGE!!! and the fact that things are falling in place is a great sign 🙂 Keep it up 🙂 So proud and always here to support you!
